RFH's Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Flanked by proud parents and supportive coaches, 11 Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) athletes recently took a significant step toward turning their dreams of playing on a college sports team into reality.

After being recruited by sports programs and making verbal commitments to colleges and universities, the students "sealed the deal" by signing their letters of intent in the RFH Library on Nov. 20.

"We are very proud of the accomplishments of these student-athletes, and are confident that they will make many positive contributions to their college programs," RFH Director of Athletics and Student Activities Chris Lanzalotto said.

The RFH Boys Lacrosse Team is sending six players on to college-level programs:

• Ryan Campbell — Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania

• Chris Hubler — Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland

• Dominic Padula — Hobart College in Geneva, New York

• Conner Phillips — Syracuse University in New York

• Colin Shea — Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia Pennsylvania

• Chris Sutphen — Manhattan College in New York City.

RFH Girls Lacrosse has three senior players bound for college programs:

• Bridget Curran — University of North Carolina

• Nicolette Dunphy — Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

• Mary Scarrone — Davidson College in North Carolina

RFH senior Kate Edwards will be joining women's crew at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.

And Shane McCarthy, a senior player on the RFH baseball team, is headed for Seton Hall University in South Orange.
