TONIGHT: Fromagerie, DIVE! Burgers

Tonight's the night for burger meal deals in the Rumson-Fair Haven area.

At the Fromagerie, on the corner of Avenue of Two Rivers and Ridge Road, Burger Night has turned into a classic area night out that involves a bit more than a gourmet burger.

It has become the "thing to do" on Tuesdays if you want to catch up with friends and grab a bite in the Rumson-Fair Haven area.

For $25 you get a gourmet burger meal, a salad and a glass of wine or beer paired with music and good company.

Every Tuesday, from 5 to 10 p.m., Burger Night is held in the Bar Room (upstairs) at the Fromagerie from 5 to 10 p.m. Pretty much everyone knows about it. Many have made it a regular social night.

The details:

For $25 in the upstairs lounge at the restaurant, patrons can get, for starters, a glass of house wine or beer, a Rocket Arugula Salad, with radicchio, endive, fontina cheese and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Then there’s the burger main course.

The choices are: a classic David Burke burger (with cheddar, lettuce tomato and onion on an English muffin with sea salt fries), Iceburger (iceberg lettuce as the bun, maple bacon and blue cheese dressing), a roasted mushroom burger (with gruyere cheese and sea salt fries), chicken parm sliders on focaccia or a Beach Burger (a shrimp burger with Caesar dressing for an extra $6).

There are side orders available for $6 more and an a la carte dessert menu, with items for $12 each extra.

There’s no extra charge for the music and socializing.

One of the owners, Christine Dilorio, has told Patch that the DIVE! Angry Burger, a huge spicy concotion of beef on a bun, is a big hit at the Ocean Avenue bar/restaurant.

You can also get sliders on pretzel buns for $5 during happy hour, from 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
