Mike you don't own a business in Ortley so you are not worried about a loss of revenue like some who make a living off tourists. The beaches have to start opening at some point. No one is pretending anything is perfect but we can't just give up on the summer.

We pay her salary...if I work for a huge corporation and I do something wrong (or sometimes don't) the board or a bunch of high-up executives can vote to fire me. Should be the same in the public sector. Real world is you can get fired for doing something wrong and that is how it should be.....no protecting anyone, especially the lame ducks.

ReplyIt is really sad to see how many negative, rude and classless people there are in our area. You should be thankful to ANYONE who comes to our area either to volunteer, donate something, or in this case bring awareness to the fact that we still need help. Listen to yourselves...you sound like a bunch of unappreciative, greedy, whiney, miserable old bags.

How many times are you going to write the same thing Jerzymom. We get it you now do not like "sleaside" (which is really not funny). You are forgetting Prince Harry has been on the Vegas strip...not much difference. He is a big boy and I'm sure not that entertained by what he saw in Seaside as you are.

MIKE CAPO.....they drove right thru it and I'm sure looked up the streets. Everyone knows there is destruction there. Sorry there wasn't time to stop at every beach. The point is he brought attention to the Jersey Shore as a WHOLE. Be a team player. He didn't drive up and down the streets of Normandy Beach either, or the Ocean Beaches, or Silver Beach.

How about taxis don't charge $50 for 2 miles. Maybe we need better buses.
