ReplyI hope Christie gives it the same support so It is just as successful as A.C. . I think we should stop federal and state spending on all these expensive recreational projects and let private corporations pay for projects that can make money without expensive subsidies from taxpayers ..

ReplyAfter being capsized in my small boat in the bay last year by one of these "go fast" guys ,who never stopped I think regulation in the bay is needed .There are a lot more people fishing and crabbing in these waters and the "need for speed" when it endangers the general public is no excuse for allowing reckless behavior .When these boats are getting up on plane they throw off a tremendous wake and if the wind is blowing right you don`t hear them until your in the water . The bay should be for everyone as are the roads.

And drill some more , I can`t wait to fish off these rigs like they do in the gulf states . These rigs actually attract marine life . Bring on the wind farms too .

ReplyThe tremendous waste of money on boardwalks is really evident when you listen to the speakers on this show. Sandy has effected the way of life at the shore. I don`t think it will ever be the same. We need to retreat and not waste money on frivolous things so the politicians can say what a great job they did ! Boardwalks are not houses and should have been the last thing to get funded...

ReplyThis is such a sad state our gov worries more about tourism than the residents, towns are worried more about collecting taxes than the taxpayers . The fema people worry only about themselves . What do we need in our flooded towns only a little guidance and compassion from our leaders and they throw us an anchor and say swim this is the "new" normal ! Thank you senator for at least recognizing our problems.

Make the barrier islands a barrier ,no more building ,put in trailer parks so the people can enjoy the beaches .Trailers can be moved off the beaches for a hurricane stop trying to build houses like up north. The beaches are a fragile environment and should be for everybody ,not to make a few people rich or for the rich..
