ReplyHi Len ...while I live in LS on the face of this is seems like good news ,however what I do notice is waterfront (high price) has no bids ,you can't give the stuff away most listing are below recently assessed values ...On the other hand you have some homes that are very high ground which are offered at 30% to 100% over recently assessed values .This tells me there will be some big appeals on the high end ,which could spell trouble taxes .I realize this will take some sales to get a real trend but with little inventory on the non waterfront and a big overhang on waterfront I can see taxes increasing substantially in 2014 ,which will put pressure on the housing market .With the wild card of when the fed will start raising rates .I guess we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth and enjoy the good time at present .

ReplyEvery tax[payer in the state should be proud that we built and supported this school .....However were in a global economy now as for education the USA isn't even ranked in the top 10 we still have a long way to go ....

with the top limit of 108K taking out 14.5% after 30 years money taken out 435K after 35 years 507K......I doubt most people will ever get that back .But I do know I put in every year to my IRA a lot less and I have a lot more ....so if I were to have been offered the option of investing that money myself I could have accumulated over a few million ...but my government thought they could do better by guaranteeing my safe retirement .....so they took my funds instead

Why is it that people always want to be the last one to move into a town ...once they live their BOOM they want the door slammed shut ...NO MORE BUILDING ! sorry it just doesn't work that way .America is always growing so towns must grow as well ....
