Police: Cocaine Dealing Bust Nearby

The accused was in a housing authority property when arrested

A local man has been arrested on cocaine dealing and possession charges following a suspcious persons investigation. Following the suspicious persons report, on April 7 at 10:14 p.m. in Red Bank, police stopped and arrested Prince Johnson, of 80 W. Westside Terrace, after allegedly finding him with cocaine, paraphernalia (a scale), according to a complaint warrant signed by Red Bank Police Patrolman Stanley Balmer. Johnson was charged with: possession of cocaine; possession with intent to distribute; possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a public housing authority; and possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically an electronic scale, the warrant said. Rumson and Fair Haven Men Indicted on Cocaine Possession Charges

The following information was obtained directly from Fair Haven Police Department and Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office records. It does not indicate convictions.

Two men from Fair Haven and one from Rumson have been indicted on cocaine possession charges stemming from a September incident. The alleged incident occurred on Sept. 13 when a Fair Haven resident from "Poplar Avenue called police to report a suspicious vehicle with three men getting in and out of the car (repeatedly)," Fair Haven Police Detective Stephen Schneider said after the arrests. The three men were: Paul J. Kaltenborn, 37, of 140 Ridge Rd., Fair Haven; Jordan Harris, 23, of 34 Browns Lane, Fair Haven; and Michael J. Gaynor, 28, of 33 Lafayette St., Rumson. UPDATE: Drug Bust in Fair Haven

The following information was obtained directly from Fair Haven Police Department records. It does not indicate convictions.

Two men from Fair Haven and one from Rumson are facing drug possession charges stemming from a September incident. The incident occurred on Sept. 13 when "a Poplar Avenue resident called police to report a suspicious vehicle with three men getting in and out of the car (repeatedly)," Detective Stephen Schneider said. Police responded and while questioning the men, allegedly spotted a white powdery substance (believed to be cocaine) in a small clear plastic baggie "in plain view," Schneider added. The Monmouth County Sheriff's Officer Kroeper and K-9 Evan were called to the scene as well. The Fair Haven officers on the scene — patrolmen Dwayne Reevey and William Lagrotteria and Sgt. Cocaine Bust Leads to Multiple Indictments

Red Bank Police arrested five in May on allegations they possessed cocaine with the intent to distribute.

A Monmouth County Grand Jury has indicted five men arrested during a Red Bank drug bust in May on 10 counts, finding enough evidence to prosecute the suspects on allegations of intent to distribute cocaine. Charles Johnson, 23, Charles Wilson, 25, Chantal Tharrington, 21, David Hutchinson, 25, and Kareem Smith, 23, were arrested on May 16 and charged with numerous offenses related to a raid conducted by the Red Bank Police Department on a Spring Street apartment. Man Indicted: Drug Dealing, Possession Charges

A Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted Jeison Garcia-Alvarado on several counts stemming from alleged drug offenses in late 2011, early 2012.

A Red Bank man was indicted on 21 counts of drug dealing and possession charges by a Monmouth County Grand Jury this week after he was arrested for allegedly selling drugs on multiple occasions in Red Bank, including to an undercover Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office detective. Jeison Garcia-Alvarado, 24, of Front Street, allegedly sold cocaine to the undercover officer identified only as "M.D." in court documents on Dec. 1 and Dec. 14 in 2011 and Jan. 4, 5 and 11 of this year. He was also charged in connection with drug offenses having allegedly taken place on Jan. 18.
