Fair Haven police reported the following incidents and arrests from the second half of November: • Patrolman Christian Hostrup on Nov. 17 arrested Allison E. Mcknight, 42, of Freehold, and charged her with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop. Sgt. Sherri Lambert assisted in the arrest. McKnight was released pending a court appearance. • Patrolmen Eric Patton and Christian Hostrup on Nov. 22 took a report of vandalism, which was allegedly committed on a vehicle parked at a Forest Avenue address. • Sgt. Fair Haven police recently made the following arrests and incident reports: • Sean Dickey, 40, of Middletown, was arrested on July 18, by Special Officer Stenger, and charged with being in contempt of court. Fair Haven police reported the following arrests and activity in the past month: • Francis Luby, 19, of Rumson, was arrested on July 4 by Cpl. John Waltz and Patrolman Dwayne Reevey and charged with disorderly conduct. Luby was released pending a court date. • On July 5, Patrolman Patton took a harassment report from a Fair Haven Road resident who reported receiving threatening text messages on her cell phone. • Darryl Canfield, 26, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on July 6 by Special Officer Albert, for allegedly being in contempt of court. Reward money offered for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the damage to cars, homes and businesses in Rumson.
The Rumson PBA Local 345 has issued a $500 reward for the arrest and conviction of the individuals that were responsible for the vandalism that struck the Two River area this week. According to a press release from the Rumson Police Department, there were multiple reports of vandalisms to vehicles and homes in the morning of January 17th and January 18th. Two vehicles on Forrest Ave. and one vehicle on Navesink Ave. were vandalized along with two homes in Rumson. "The numerous vehicles and homes had rocks thrown through the windows, with no regard to our residents or our resident’s property," said the release. Anyone with information, is asked to call Det. Windows of cars, homes and businesses smashed in by rocks sometime Tuesday night.
A rash of vandalism struck the Two River area last night according to the police departments in Fair Haven, Rumson and Red Bank. According to a release from the Fair Haven Police Department (FHPD), “Four reports were received from Borough residents that windows on their vehicles were broken sometime overnight.” The reports of damage were from two residents on Cambridge Avenue, one from Harvard Road and one from Fair Haven Road. None of the residents reported anything stolen from their vehicles. “Details are limited at this time as the investigation is active and involves other, local jurisdictions with similar reports,” said the release from FHPD. Over 50 percent of the reported incidents in the Fair Haven Police Department blotter through the month of June were vandalism and stolen property.
According to a police blotter prepared by Detective Jesse Dykstra, Fair Haven was victim to a lot of vandalism and robbery this June. These types of crimes took up over 50 percent of the blotter for the entire month. Among the 6 other incidents that were reported in the blotter were a DWI, juveniles eluding officers and one report of an arrest due to possession of cocaine. The blotter reported everything from street signs to park benches to a car mirrors as stolen last month. Places vandalized ranged from personal mailboxes, to the ACME and Fair Haven Fields.
