"I am very excited about this opportunity and great challenge," Farrell said in a release. "I truly believe that relationships form the foundation for learning and that no significant learning can take place without a significant relationship. Shore Regional will play Asbury Park Friday evening
Shore Regional High School will continue it's quest for a state sectional football title when the Blue Devils host Asbury Park at 7 p.m. Friday. Shore Regional is the top seed in the Central Jersey Group 1 semifinals, and the Blue Bishops enter the game as the fourth seed. The winner will advance to play the winner of the Point Pleasant Beach-Florence game. Shore Regional (8-2) will look to pound the ball on the ground against Asbury Park (6-3) after defeating them earlier this year 37-12. Quarterback Matt Muh can also hurt opponents through the air, but Shore Regional will likely stick with its Wing-T rushing attack after it proved effective against Asbury Park in their last meeting. For a full preview of this game and other state …

Feasibility study reports sharing administrative roles will save money
The West Long Branch Board of Education voted Tuesday in favor of sharing a superintendent and business administrator with Shore Regional High School. Currently, both the West Long Branch School District and Shore Regional High School have interim superintendents, and since both schools are located in West Long Branch, it was decided it would make sense to share the position of superintendent between the schools. Similarly, the study found it was also feasible to share a business administrator between…

Members of the Shore Regional school board as well as the county superintendent are expected to be in attendance. Massa's contract as an interim superintendent and business administrator expires on …

The Shore Regional class of 2012 beat the heat on Wednesday afternoon as the seniors held their commencement ceremony at the Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC) at Monmouth University. "You have all brought true honor to your families and your school," O'Neill said. What a FABULOUS idea....sharing services only makes sense. There is so much waste in the administrative side of the school budgets all over Monmouth County, it's so exciting to see schools starting to talk about shared services. WAKE UP parents and all taxpayers and start pushing for this!! Similar sharing should happen between Rumson/Fair Haven, Little Silver/Red BAnk, and on and on!   more ›
