Wall — The former assistant superintendent of Wall Township Schools was indicted Monday morning on charges she failed to immediately report a possible sexual assault of a 4-year-old special needs student by a teacher and then lied to police and tried to cover up her inaction, according to the indictment. Woman also charged with endangering welfare of child
An area woman has been charged with sexually assaulting a child. Rachel Morrison, 26, of Warburton Place, Long Branch, allegedly sexually assaulted the Oceanport minor, whose name, age and relationship to Morrison are not being released, on April 29. Morrison was arrested on April 30 and is facing two charges of sexual assault for commiting "an act of sexual penetration" and "touching" the victim, according to court documents. Morrison is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was lodged in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. Morrison's initial court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8.

Christopher Johnson, 38, is charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, stemming from an incident in February, 2012. A total of 29 charges against the 40-year-old
An area man already jailed on charges that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old has had another dozen charges added to an already lengthy list, according to arrest warrants. Wayne D. Woods, of Atlantic Highlands, already jailed on 17 charges, faces an additional 12 charges from Atlantic Highlands and Highlands boroughs stemming from separate incidents dating back to December. Woods, whose bail has been set to just more than $1.1 million, faces six charges from each of the two jurisdictions, bringing the number of charges against the 40-year-old man to 29. An Atlantic Highlands man was arrested Thursday and charged on a slew of sexual assault charges stemming from the repeated and years-long assault of an underage girl who is blood relative, according to arrest warrants. Wayne D. Woods, was charged with 15 counts of criminal sexual behavior — including six counts of coercive sexual assault — with a 17-year-old girl who is blood relative, according to arrest records. The laundry list of sex charges also includes seven counts of criminal sexual contact, one count of criminal restraint and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. An area man faces charges of sexual contact with two minors who were under his care. The man, a 53-year-old Elm Place, Red Bank resident was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury last week on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual contact. The man allegedly had sexual contact with a teen who was between 13 and 16 years old during a period spanning June 11, 2009, to June 11, 2010. He also is accused of sexual contact with a second child, who was 7 when the alleged abuse occurred between January and December 2007. An area man was indicted Friday by a Monmouth County Grand Jury on charges of aggravated assault and attempted sexual assault stemming from a May 13 arrest. According to court documents, Cesar Vidal, 40, of Red Bank, allegedly attempted to sexually assault a victim when he attempted to commit the act of sexual penetration by using physical force or coercion. The South Bridge Avenue resident was also charged with aggravated assault after the Grand Jury found credible evidence that Vidal purposely or knowingly cased significant bodily injury to the victim. The extent of the victim's injuries was not immediately known. Vidal was originally arrested by Red Bank police and charged with obstructing administration of the law, resisting arrest …
