The following message from Rumson Mayor John Ekdahl, as posted on the borough's website, http://www.rumsonnj.gov/: "It has been 7 days since Hurricane Sandy blasted through Rumson, causing catastrophic damage to many area homes and properties. The entire town remains without power and the Rumson Police, DPW, Fire Departments, OEM and EMS have been working overtime to maintain order, provide direction and assistance to residents and make roads safe for passage. "JCP&L has advised that power will likely be restored to most of Rumson by Thursday or Friday.
