Remains of Kayaker Found in Shrewsbury River

Skeletal remains found in the Shrewsbury River have been identified as an area kayaker who had been missing since 2010, his abandoned kayak having turned up on Sedge Island in the river between Rumson and Sea Bright, according to multiple news reports. The NJ State Police said the remains have been identified, using dental records, as David Civile, 28, formerly of Tinton Falls. Police say a contractor making dock repairs on Little Silver Point Road in Little Silver on Nov. 28 found the remains.
