Robert Melita, of Fair Haven, died on Dec. 27. Services begin on Jan. 2.
Robert Anthony Melita, 21, a 2009 graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, passed away at his Fair Haven home on Dec. 27. The son of Charles and Beth Melita, Robert "had a zest for life and, for those who had the privilege of knowing him, he has left his footprint on their lives," his obituary on the Thompson Memorial Home Web site said. Robert, who also attended Brookdale Community College, was known for his work with Fair Haven children, specifically as an umpire with Little League Baseball. Also a member of the Titans (Sunday) softball team with his father, and a bowler, Robert enjoyed cooking and was a communicant of the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven.
