The following thefts were reported by police next door in Red Bank: • A theft was reported to have occurred between April 18 and 19 at an East Front Street Bar/restaurant. The owner reported that unknown person(s) removed cash from behind the bar. Patrolman David Hicks took the report. • A theft was reported on April 20 at the West Front Street Antique Center. The victim reported that unknown person(s) stole a drawer from an antique cabinet, which decreases the value of the piece. Fair Haven police reported the following incidents and arrests in March: • Sgt. Sherri Lambert and Patrolman Koetzner arrested two juveniles on March 9 who were allegedly found to be intoxicated, one of whom was also trespassing at a Harvard Road residence. • Patrolmen Patton and Hostrup took a report of an alleged burglary that occurred on March 10 at a Schwenker’s Place residence. Detective Stephen Schneider also responded and is continuing the investigation. It has been determined that nothing has been taken at this time. The following Sea Bright and Fair Haven residents were arrested in Little Silver on marijuana possession and underage DWI charges: • Edward McNally, 27, of Sea Bright, NJ, was arrested on March 16 following a motor vehicle stop on Rumson Road, Little Silver, and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and active contempt of court warrants out of the Union Beach and Sea Bright Municipal Courts. Rumson police are alerting area residents that there was an attempted break-in at a West River Road home Monday afternoon and urge all to be watchful of solicitors. The homeowner, who was in the home at the time, observed a male alone near her front door, Rumson Police Detective Chris Isherwood said. The man, the victim told police, then went to the rear of the home and attempted to force two French doors open, "pulling them out with force," Isherwood said she reported. The alarm was activated and police responded, but the alleged trespasser was not found. He was described as (possibly) bald with facial hair, Isherwood said. A local man has been arrested on cocaine dealing and possession charges following a suspcious persons investigation. Following the suspicious persons report, on April 7 at 10:14 p.m. in Red Bank, police stopped and arrested Prince Johnson, of 80 W. Westside Terrace, after allegedly finding him with cocaine, paraphernalia (a scale), according to a complaint warrant signed by Red Bank Police Patrolman Stanley Balmer. Johnson was charged with: possession of cocaine; possession with intent to distribute; possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a public housing authority; and possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically an electronic scale, the warrant said. A 20-year-old area man has been arrested and charged with possessing and dealing a substantial amount of heroin nearby in the Red Bank area. Terrell Rainey Jr., of 131 Hulick Ave., Long Branch, was allegedly found in possession of 49 decks of heroin at 40 Bank Street, which is within 500 feet of public housing and 1,000 feet of a school zone, according to the complaint warrant. A rash of car burglaries led to the indictment of a local woman on 17 counts of burglary charges. Erika Gaetano, 20, of Shrewsbury, allegedly entered unlocked vehicles in Colts Neck, within a three-day spree, and stole various items, including cash, wallets, satellite radios and other electronics. Two of the burglary charges implicated an alleged partner, Andriy Tabaka, of Parlin. Tabaka, 19, allegedly assisted Gaetano in Oct. 1 car burglaries. Gaetano is being held in the Monmouth County Jail on $32,000 bail.
