Tuesday and Wednesday the store will offer major sales
Just when you thought you had seen the last of the 40-year eclectic Nature's Emporium in Fair Haven ... Owner Priscilla Bahr, after closing the store's doors on March 1, has decided to open back up for two more day to have a final blow-out sale. The shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, and Wednesday. "All pants are $10, dresses $20, T's $5 , skirts $10 and more," Bahr said. "Cash register, displays bags, tissue, CDs and other various items are also for sale." So, this is your last chance to store up on eclectic goods. The longtime Fair Haven clothing and novelty store will close its doors on Saturday!
If you've been to Nature's Emporium and loved it for the 30 years it's been in business in Fair Haven, now's your last chance to visit and get in on some good closing deals. Not only that, but owner Priscilla Bahr would love the chance to say so long to longtime customers and colleagues. Bahr's store has been a staple for the most eclectic shoppers in town and from all around the area for a very long time now. She's sold everything from yodeling pickles and fire breathing wind-up nuns to cards, candy, candles and quality clothing and jewelry. Bahr has said it's time for her to move on, but the store is still open until the end of the month (only a couple of days). Sales abound in the eclectic nook
Somewhere over a rack of artsy clothing, unique jewelry, kooky cards, yodeling pickles and fire-breathing wind-up nun toys, there's a bittersweet milestone that Priscilla Bahr has reached. After 40 years of calling Fair Haven her business home, she is closing the doors on her cozy, eclectic River Road boutique, Nature's Emporium, at the end of February. What's next for Bahr? She's not quite sure yet. But what has now become her short-term future that somehow arrived with the speed of an overnight shipment of store merchandise is peppered with the irony of excitement for a new phase in life and nostalgic fear of the unfamiliar. If you’re having a hankering for some calorie-free breakfast with a melodiously tasty pickle on the side, you need to follow your shopping nose to Nature’s Emporium in Fair Haven. There the guilt-free goodies are all cooked up, boxed and ready to be brought home. Yes, Priscilla Bahr, Nature’s owner, has the goods. She guarantees that she can serve up some coffee with waffles and bacon with no caloric price to pay. How? All you have to do is open a small plastic container and take a … flossing.
