RFH defeated RBR 3-2 in overtime Wednesday afternoon.
Rumson-Fair Haven again claimed victory in the Ridge Road ice war Wednesday afternoon, defeating Red Bank Regional 3-2 in overtime in the Dowd Cup semifinals at the Armory Ice Complex. Hunter Rotchford scored two goals for the Bulldogs, including the game-winner, and Brian Robinson posted a goal and an assist. Sam Maraschio and Josh Soboyu lit the board for the Buccaneers. RBR goalie Charlie Fox stopped 36 shots and RFH goalie Dominic Padula set aside 28. The Bulldogs will attempt to dethrone defending champions Marlboro in the championship game at the Armory this Saturday at 7 p.m.

RFH hockey squeaks by Red Bank 3-2
The RFH Bulldogs took a bite out of the RBR Bucs, pulling out an overtime 3-2 win on Wednesday in the Dowd Cup ice hockey tournament semifinals. The game at the Red Bank Armory went into overtime tied 2-2 with Hunter Rotchford scoring the winning goal. The Bulldogs (16-2-0, no. 53) bulldozed through Toms River East 9-3 in the quarterfinals Monday evening to advance, and RBR (8-12-2, no. 86) upset the St. Rose Purple Roses 5-4 earlier Monday afternoon to move on. The Bucs and Bulldogs met in a December regular season game, with RFH notching a 4-1 victory over RBR. The Dowd Cup is a tournament which pits teams from the Shore Conference's "C" and "D" divisions against one another for a top prize named after former New Jersey Devils player Jim…
