An area woman is facing three counts of aggravated assault following an indictment handed down by a grand jury last week, according to court documents. Jodee King, 42, of 587 Branch Ave., Little Silver, was charged with assaulting two Little Silver police officers in October. She also faces one count of resisting arrest following the Oct. 27 incident. King also faces two counts of aggravated assault, a third degree crime, and one count of throwing bodily fluid at an officer, a fourth degree crime. According to police records, King was arrested following an incident on Branch Avenue and also charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct. Officer Amanda Arnold and Sgt. Kevin Halpin made the arrest.

Red Bank man to answer charges today

An area man will appear in court this morning to answer charges of assault and criminal mischief. Myron D. Dismuke, 42, of Red Bank, was arrested New Year's Day after police said he damaged a Montgomery Terrace woman's truck and choked her. Police said Dismuke threw bicycles at the woman's Dodge Durango, causing more than $2,000 in damage. He broke the windshield and caused dents to the hood and front end, according to court documents. Police said they also found red marks on the victim's neck after he choked her. Dismuke was held on $15,000 bail, no 10 percent option. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. today.

Little Silver police arrested and charged a Highlands man with aggravated assault following a Dec. 9 incident. The man, who was arrested on Sunday, allegedly repeatedly punched a Little Silver resident with a "closed fist," according to court documents. His name was not released by police. Patrolman Frank Salerno made the arrest. The accused was held on $2,500 bail with a 10 percent option and will make his first court appearance on Dec. 20.

A teen allegedly broke into a Sea Bright beach club, injured a police officer and threw objects at passing motorists on the Fourth of July, according to a complaint warrant signed by Sea Bright police. Patrick C. O'Connell, of 32 Winding Way, Little Silver, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest following the incident. He was held on $25,000 bail. According to the warrant, the 18-year old entered Driftwood Beach Club, on Ocean Avenue, while trying to elude officers. O'Connell allegedly threw objects and yelled profanities at passing vehicles, creating a "hazardous condition," the complaint said. NY man allegedly wanted to fight police
A Staten Island man has been arrested and charged with threatening to commit aggravated assault against two Fair Haven police officers. Dennis Bannon, 56, of 314 Edison Street, Staten Island, NY, was arrested on May 21 after he allegedly threatened to harm Cpl. John Waltz and Patrolman Dwayne Reevey for the purpose of causing a “public inconvenience” and in “reckless disregard” of the officers’ welfare, a complaint warrant, signed by Waltz, said.
