Thank you Elaine. A really wonderful story about a magnificent lady. Her smile was radiant.

My pleasure. Fair Haven has lost too many like her. Condolences to the Connors.

My grandmother would have loved this article about her. She was a great lady who only new how toRead More treat people with respect, kindness and love. There are not too many left like her, the world lost a great light and she will be missed dearly!

The 2% cap is the biggest joke! It exempts retirement money and health care costs - the two largestRead More expenses a municipality has. Every town can claim expenses of both. They just have to ask for an approval and they can go over the cap. It was nothing more than a marketing campaign.

Sadly, for most shore towns, as those home/property owners who are unable to re-build and abandonRead More properties or simply default on their real estate taxes, that short fall will have to be made up by a re-casting of the tax rate on those who have viable properties. So the Christie 2% real estate tax cap is "out the window" and you folks are screwed. I didn't hear anything about in Christie"s "I'm bigger than the storm" TV ads that New Jersey Taxpayers are paying for! Happy about that?

Piping Plover: A SPARROW that is too dumb to build a nest in a tree, and instead builds its nestRead More right on open beachfront, making their eggs and hatchlings easy meals for all manner of predators. The Plover nest is a snack-pack for foxes, raccoons, hawks, skunks, coyotes, seagulls, crows… pretty much any critter that enjoys a really easy meal. As of 200 years ago, humans had moved into New England and the Great Lakes, and largely wiped out the predatory species (wolves, coyotes, fox, etc). This caused an explosion in the populations of PREY (mice, squirrels, rabbits… and yes… piping plovers). However, over the last 50 years, environmental groups have promoted the return of the natural predators. Because of this, we now see a whole lot of “prey” species that are declining (funny how that works)! The same groups that helped the predators... are now blaming humans for the declines in prey, though there is ZERO evidence that this is true. We aren't feasting on plover eggs for breakfast, or enjoying roast plover sandwiches for lunch. Green goons claim that we are “disturbing” these nests by our presence, yet it is a fact that sparrows are the birds most acclimated to humans. Enviro-weenies are now fencing off nests, closing beaches, and… “removing” predators such as foxes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, etc. Yes… they’re quietly and with full legal backing… KILLING the predators that threaten their darling "plovers". You can’t make this stuff up!

I remember the first incident as well. It was reported that he left the scene and that, when theRead More police arrived at his home, they were told he was asleep and they left. He is a poster child for entitlement.

He's a pollitically connected lawyer and he will beat these charges, they always do. My guess is heRead More goes with an "I was on Ambien" defense. That's one way Judges and polliticians have been beating DWI"s. I bet he refused a breathalizer?

He's got all the tricks up his sleeve. That he should be still out driving is a travesty. JustRead More because he was supposedly the "beloved mayor of Red Bank"? It's an insult to everyone. I just hope my children or anyone else in my family or yours don't run into him late one night on the road. Yes. I was sure of the other offense on the parkway some years ago. And he refuses his own police force at his own door?? Poor civic behavior for a mayor and an ex-mayor.
