Decent food but they probably have the most inept staff I have ever witnessed.

I have eaten here many times and I have always found the service good and the food delicious.

I'd like to politely disagree. I’ve been a few times for dinner & the service is just fine. The first time was in Feb, and it was packed. Although the waitstaff were all very busy, our server still stopped by several times for refills, etc. I’ve also been there when they were less busy & I was satisfied. The frequency with which the server came by was just right. She came by regularly to wait on us and our needs were met. And she didn’t come by so much so as to prevent me from enjoying a nice meal w/ my family. I’m not sure where the discrepancy is, but perhaps they have better management since Jan.
As for the employees eating together, I don’t see that as a big deal. After all, they need to eat too, don’t they?As long as you're still waited on and served good food, does it really matter?
Re: the tea bags, I agree that it'd be nice to have somewhere to put them, once the tea is steeped to your liking. The past few times, I took the teabag myself out w/o much thought. However, when I was there last night, the manager walked by and inquired about the food just as I was removing the teabag, so I gave her this little suggestion. She seemed to think it was a great idea and said she would implement it right away. I’m awaiting my bag-less cup of tea next time!
The food here is delicious! I haven't been disappointed by anything. I like their new Sushi Specials on the wall—Lobster Roll is scrumptious! You can actually see big pieces of lobster meat in the roll!

The food is first class. Easily rates a 4 or a 5, but sadly, the service is appalling. The staff stand around and endlessly chat with one another and the three times I have been there, at some point a number of them are sitting together eating meals. I went there with a friend today for a late lunch at 1:30 p.m. and there were only two other tables with people at them, so it was clearly not a busy time. Nevertheless, we had great difficulty getting our wait staff to attend to us. They were apparently very involved with discussing beauty products with one another as another member of the staff sat nearby them eating at the sushi bar.

Can someone please explain why the tea is never hot? The three times I have been there, it has either been room temperature or lukewarm. The teabags are left in the cups, which is tacky, but if you don't provide a utensil to remove the teabag, or something to put the soggy teabag onto, even more tacky.

The decor is fabulous. Modern, sleek and clean. As I said, some of the best sushi in the area, no question. I wish the staff were more interested in talking to the customers about what their needs are, than with one another, which really animates them. The restaurant desperately needs a competent restaurant manager.

My friend asked me not to take her back there because though she enjoyed the food tremendously, she felt that the service ruined the experience. It's a shame.
