The show will feature the carvings, photography and other work of local artists, food, activities and auction.

It's going to be chilly this weekend, and there's one event that will keep you busy indoors and the chill at bay for a few hours.

If you like wildlife and art that showcases it, then Saturday's event at Rumson Country Day School is the event for you.

The First Annual Exhibition of Sporting Collectible Art will he hosted by the school on Bellevue Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will be flush with 47 exhibitors, including carvers, collectors and dealers, featuring wildlife artwork, such as decoys, and photography.

The work of local artisan, Rumson police officer Anthony Ciambrone, owner/operator of Oceanic Decoys, will be featured. Ciambrone also teaches carving at RFH wood shop classes. His decoys are also sold at the new Handmade Haven store in Fair Haven.

Bill Doggart, president of the New Jersey Decoy Collectors Organization, will also feature his work, among others. “This area is starving for a decoy show of this caliber which will bring the collectors through the door,” he said in a released statement.

General admission is $10, and $5 for members of Ducks Unlimited or any decoy club (and their guests) is $5. There is no admission charge for children under 12.
