Winter Concerts, Meetings & More

It's what's going on in the Rumson-Fair Haven area this week.

Happy Monday, friends and fans!

Hope your weekend was a good one. Now that the tree lightings are done, the elementary and middle schools are having their winter concerts. So, we're here to remind you when, among other things that lie ahead this week.

Around the towns …

• Authorities have been searching for a missing Highlands clammer. Let's hope he is found safe. Last we heard, the search was called off for the evening on Sunday.

• In Fair Haven there are two winter concerts: Monday and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium at Knollwood School.

• In Rumson, the concert for the grade 4 is set for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Forrestdale School.

• Both the Rumson and Fair Haven boards of education meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night at the Higgins Library in Forrestdale and Media Center at Knollwood School, respectively.

Weather, sun, moon and tides …

• According to the National Weather Service, it's going to be clear and breezy today with a high temperature of 30 degrees. And, then … snow on Monday night (a 60 percent chance). As it moves into Tuesday, there will be rain as well, according to the forecast. But, Wednesday it's supposed to be clear and mostly sunny with high of 38 degrees. By Thursday, the temperature will rise to the mid 40s.

• The moon is almost full. Or is it full yet? Click here for more info on that, the name of the moon's phase and more interesting tidbits about the moon and stars and, yes, tides.

That's all for now. Stand by for more. Until then, I'll see you around the towns …
