Winter Concert, Meetings in Week Ahead

It's what's going on in the Rumson-Fair Haven area this week.


Happy soggy Monday, friends and fans!

Well, that was an interesting surprise snowfall, right? And it's gone already. Pretty while it lasted, but a bit dangerous for driving.

It snowed just in time for the Rumson tree lighting at Victory Park. Due to a little trouble traveling in it, Patch arrived a bit late, but managed to get some photos of sights and those still hanging around. Take a look.

There were other tree lightings over the weekend. Just in case you didn't get to them, we'll be posting a round-up later.

• Tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fair Haven Firehouse there's a meeting about how to handle emergencies involving people with special needs. For more information, click here.

• Tuesday there is a Rumson Borough Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. in borough hall on East River Road.

• Thursday is the Winter Concert at RFH. We will have more on that.

Weather, sun, moon and tides …

• It's going to be rainy with a high of 50 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service. As for the rest of the week, we may get rain and/or snow on Tuesday (50 percent chance). From that point on, it's supposed to be clear with chilly temperatures in the 30s.
