Holiday Celebrations in the Week Ahead

What's going on in the Rumson-Fair Haven area this week.

Happy Monday, friends and fans!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and festive long weekend. Who went to the (what they used to call) tree lighting festivities in Red Bank (rather, downtown lighting)? Patch was there, so be sure to check out our fun video and photos.

In case you've missed any of the top news from last week, click right here for a look back at what everyone was talking about.

There's more of that coming this week as well.

Around the towns this week …

• Pat Guadagno is at Jamian's on Monmouth Street in Red Bank tonight, as usual, if you'd like to listen to some music.

• Flavour is hosting its second annual Holiday Flavour event at the Molly Pitcher in Red Bank on Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $45 in advance and $55 at the door.  For more information, or to purchase tickets, go to the website at  www.RedBankFlavour.com.

• The Fair Haven Business Association, with support from the Fair Haven Fire Department, will host the borough's Tree Lighting and Holiday Stroll on Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. There will be photos with Santa, music by The Band of the Two Rivers. Businesses will be offering snacks and beverages. More on that later this week.

• Rumson will host its annual tree lighting at Victory Park on Sunday. The RFH Tower Singers and third graders from Deane-Porter School will sing and Tim McLoone and the Shirleys, with some Holiday Express members, will entertain. More on this later this week.

We will also be filling you in with some news and feature updates, leftover news from last week as well as police stories and photos. If we've missed anything, let us know.

Until then, I'll see you around the towns …
