Go Pink or Go Home: Student Fundraises for Families Affected by Breast Cancer

Abigail Kelly will sell the t-shirts for $15 and pink bracelets for $1 at the Pop Warner Football games this weekend at Borden Stadium.

A message from Rumson-Fair Haven Pop Warner:

For 7th grade student, Abigail Kelly, the topic of Breast Cancer awareness is close to home.

That is why she decided to hold a fundraiser for selling t-shirts she designed. Abigail had the idea, but needed a venue to sell them. That is when she got the idea: Abigail's brothers AJ and Timmy play for Rumson-Fair Haven (RFH) Pop Warner so she wanted to sell t-shirts along with pink bracelets at the home games on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.

Abigail emailed RFH Pop Warner representatives, and they  decided to tribute the whole weekend to Breast Cancer Awareness. Abigail  then met with Firehouse Specialty Shop in Red Bank to design the t-shirts in black with pink lettering and the saying “Go Pink or Go Home” surrounding the signature Breast cancer pink ribbon and paw prints to represent the RFH Pop Warner Bull Dogs.

In addition, RFH Pop Warner’s home field, will be decked out in pink ribbons and crepe paper plus the football players and cheerleaders will add a splash of pink to their uniforms.
