Fireworks Sizzle for Sea Bright's Rising

Tell us about your favorite moment at the fireworks or clambake the next day.

It was a testament to light at the end of a long Sea Bright recovery road after Hurricane Sandy.

The sporadic rain on Monday cast some doubts about whether or not the skies would clear for the fireworks that were to culminate a combined Sea Bright Rising and Ama Ristorante Building Permit Relief Fund fundraiser dubbed Sea Bright Rebuilding Day.

While the planned daytime clambake on the beach at Driftwood Cabana Club was rescheduled for Tuesday, the fireworks show, hosted by Driftwood's Stavola family, lit up the skies as originally planned on Monday night.

As the fireworks shot up over the ocean that spun Sandy's wrath on Sea Bright in October, people cheered and chanted "Sea Bright Rising!" Compliments flooded the Sea Bright Rising Facebook page.

A slice of the show was captured in a YouTube video.
