When it comes to cats..... "Can you really overshare?"

Yes, I am a cat person!  I am a proud, shout it from the rooftops and I-Phone cat photo filled kind of cat person.  I have my 4 fabulous felines at home, several hundred that I see every week volunteering at the Monmouth County SPCA and my fabulous kitty clients at The Contented Cat.  My life is bursting with cats!!  Having said that I never get tired of talking about my guys, sharing my pictures and hearing about or seeing pictures of other peoples cats.   I will even admit to lunching with my girlfriends ,none of which have human kids, where we talk about our cats and share pics just like the other moms do.
There are famous cats on Facebook such as Grumpy Cat and L'il Bub who thousands of people follow.  (I happen to love "Samhaseyebrows", Henri Le Chat Noir and Simon's Cat.) There are millions of cat videos circulating on the internet ,now more than ever, and I know you are watching them!  It seems like we just can't get enough.  (Oh and yes I know Kitties on a treadmill is a classic.)
So what's the scoop?  Why all of the sudden are cats all the rage?  Is it because people are finally catching on to how fluffy, sassy and fabulous they are?  Is it because the internet meme cats have captured our attention in a new and interesting way?  Or has it always been this way, but now we are just throwing away that "Crazy Cat Lady" label and just saying "I am crazy about cats"?  Oh and yes we know there are "Cat Guys" too and yes we know how awesome they are.  Just check out a picture of Ian Somerhalder with his cat and you will know what I mean.....meow!
So the answer to the question above is an overwhelming and obvious NO!  We can't overshare and we will keep chatting, posting, googling, tweeting, Instagramming, you-tubing and blogging about our fabulous felines because we can and we should!
