Rumson Residents in Brookdale's Summer Shakespeare Production

Brookdale Community College will present the eleventh annual Summer Shakespeare Ensemble this July.

The Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center is once again hosting summer nights with Shakespeare in July on the great lawn of the community college’s campus. And, this year, two Rumson residents are featured in the cast of the troupe's production of The Merchant of Venice.

Performances will be held at Brookdale on July 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 15 and 22 at 6 p.m. Admission is free; and, parking is most convenient in lots one and two.

For new theatergoers and those unfamiliar with The Merchant of Venice storyline, it is a bard's provocative look at love, debt and justice among the merchants, lawyers and moneylenders in the Venice of the Renaissance.
