ROUNDUP: Rumson-Fair Haven Wins

Here’s a look at Friday’s Shore Conference football games, compiled from reports at app.com, nj.com and allshoremedia.net:

Rumson-Fair Haven 30, Monsignor Donovan 0: The Bulldogs (6-0) remained undefeated, with Danny Roberto passing for three touchdowns as host Rumson shut out the Griffins (4-2).

Michael Volker scored a 17-yard touchdown for Rumson’s first score, and the Bulldogs never looked back.

Manasquan 27, Holmdel 14: Chris Miller caught touchdown passes of 56 and 51 yards as the visiting Warriors (3-4) downed the Hornets (3-4).

Joe Fittin connected with Miller for Manasquan’s first touchdown of the game, and rushed for a 1-yard score to put Manasquan ahead 13-7.

Robbie Cantelli, who opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown for Holmdel, scored on a 48-yard run to put the Hornets up 14-13. But Joe Murphy scored from a yard out to put Manasquan ahead for good.

Point Boro 23, Barnegat 13: Brett Blank kicked field goals of 34, 27 and 23 yards and Kyle McGarry caught a pass for a 30-yard touchdown as the host Panthers (5-2) beat the Bengals (3-3).

Cinjun Erskine scored two touchdowns, including a 43-yard run that put Barnegat ahead 13-3.

But the Panthers rumbled back, with Ryan Prout scoring from 8 yards out to put them ahead for good.

Shore Regional 47, Mater Dei 0: Mark Constantino, son of Blue Devils’ head coach Mark Constantino, caught a pass for a touchdown, ran for a score and returned a punt 30 yards for a third touchdown, and the host Blue Devils (5-1) defeated the Seraphs (0-7) in West Long Branch.

Matt Muh passed for 109 yards and two touchdowns for Shore. Jack Kelly rushed for a 16-yard touchdown to open the scoring for Shore.

Long Branch 35, Ocean 21: Deion Williams rushed for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score, as the Green Wave (6-1) defeated the visiting Spartans (3-3).

Williams finished with 130 yards and Joscil Jackson rushed for 150 yards and a 3-yard score for Long Branch. Dahmiere Willis scored from 9 yards out for the Wave’s final score.

Southern 28, Brick Memorial 21: Abe Gonzalez rushed for two touchdowns and Dan Higgins passed for two more, including a 25-yard touchdown to Nick Hem for the game-winner as the visiting Rams (4-2) beat the Mustangs (5-2).

Ryan Cieplinski passed for two touchdowns and rushed for the third for Brick Memorial.

Gonzalez’s touchdowns gave Southern a 14-7 lead at halftime, and Mike Gesicki caught a pass from Higgins and ran for a 30-yard score in the second half to put the Rams in command.

Brick 24, Toms River North 21: Anthony Starego kicked a 22-yard field goal in the waning seconds to lift the Dragons (2-4) to an upset of the visiting Mariners (4-2).

Ray Fattanuso rushed for two touchdowns and Doug Cuccinello ran for another as the two backs combined for 260 rushing yards for Brick.

Carmen Sclafani passed for touchdowns of 41 and 23 yards and Joey Fields scored from a yard out for Toms River North.

Toms River South 38, Toms River East 6: Otis Kearney rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns, including a 99-yarder to close out the scoring, as the visiting Indians (4-3) beat the Raiders (1-7).

Tymere Berry scored two touchdowns for Toms River South, and Russell Messler kicked a 30-yard field goal.

Robert Spadaro scored on a 2-yard run for Toms River East.

South Brunswick 40, Middletown North 17: Jake Betkowski ran for a 1-yard touchdown and Jared Mosier caught a 3-yard pass from Cody Thompson for another, but the host Lions (1-5) couldn’t hold off South Brunswick (5-1).

Nick Banta kicked a 20-yard field goal to open the scoring for Middletown North.
Colonia 13, Raritan 3: C.J. Pulcine kicked a field goal for the host Rockets (0-7) but Colonia (7-0) took over and earned the victory.
