Achieving the elusive offensive achievement was Bulldog offense man and junior player Dominic Roncace.  "I had a lot of help tonight," Roncace said after the game. He was quick to share the credit with teammate Campbell Dickson, "As a matter of fact, all three of my goals were from assists by Campbell.  Let me tell you, it was the Red. It's all about the Red."

Dickson, sporting a head full of red hair, also scored a goal to go along with his four assists for the night. He smiled at the comment made by Roncace and said, "But seriously, I have to give credit to Alex Riguardi.  He talked to me before the game and really inspired me.  He told me to go out and play hard tonight, play the game of your life, and I did."

Also adding to the Dawg's seven-goal performance was sophomore team member Brian Robinson, who scored twice.  "I've had quite a few two-goal nights," Robinson said in his post-game comments.  "But I'm still trying for the hat trick and I almost had it tonight."

Rounding out the night's scoring for RFH was sophomore Hunter Rotchford with one goal.  His goal, along with the other six, was the result of the Bulldogs managing almost sixty shots on Donovan’s goalie. Having over fifty is considered excellent by normal hockey standards. Monsignor Donovan only had ten shots on goal which showed that the Bulldogs display good defense to go along with their explosive offense.

There was a lot of fans and supporters at the game, with the usual Bulldog fans dominating their team's home contest. In addition to RFH fans, there was some devoted Monsignor Donovan Griffin fans as well as a few rivals of the Bulldogs.

Glen Kramsky, father of Freehold Borough Colonial's team member Matthew said, "We played the Bulldogs twice this season," he said with just a small amount of bitterness in his voice.  "And they beat us one time, four to two, but the other time we tied them, two goals a piece."

Also at the game was Vickie Gargaloni, mother of Griffin skater Andrew Gargaloni.  "He's been playing hockey since he was five," the proud parent said. She is confident as Andrew grows, so will Mon Don’s record. "Our team lost about eleven seniors to graduation last year," she continued.  "That's why they're not doing so good this year, but wait until next year. I mean just look at Andrew, he's the best!"

Bulldog fan Richard Hartung savored his team's decisive victory, "These guys can really skate.  And their defense, you hardly saw the other team down by the dawg's net all night long."

With barely enough time to shake the ice from their skates, the Bulldog's played their last game the following day. In yet another victory, they beat the Souther Regional Rams in an away game with a final score of 2-1.

Congrats to the RFH Varsity Hockey players, parents and proud supporters for a great season!
