YMCA Expands Summer Arts Institutes to New Locations

Children ages 2 ½ to 15 have the opportunity to express themselves creatively and explore the fine arts through the Y’s Summer Arts Institutes at two new locations in Red Bank and Rumson.  Camps are held during the month of July at the Y’s Family Health & Wellness Center, 166 Maple Ave., and in Rumson at the Junior League of Monmouth County, 55 Center Street.

The Summer Arts Institutes feature something for every young artist with activities ranging from Fashion Design and A Day at the Museum to Drama & Theatre and Culinary Arts. The Y’s Culinary Institute was named one of Hulafrog’s top 10 camps for 2012.  New this year is The Art of Dance, Exer-parties and Aviation.

“We’re so pleased to be able to provide this enriching program at two new locations,” said Stacey Lastella, Vice President of Camping & Outreach at The Community YMCA. “Our camps are designed to help children learn, grow and discover the exciting world of fine arts.”
