In this class we learn the basics/fundamentals of Game Making. Starting out with a brick breaker style game, kids learn how to create sprites and objects. Then they code those objects to bring the game to life. Once we have the basics down they evolve their game with power ups and multiple levels of increasing difficulty. We then take what we learned with our first game and apply it to a platform style game (ex: super mario bros.), where kids create characters that can jump, fall using gravity, and attack. They create collectable items and enemies that they will have to defeat and can make expansive levels with the use of side scrolling. Cost: $260. (Winter Session: 1/6 - 2/21; no classes week of 2/10)
