VIDEO: RCDS Collects Toys for Area Children

The students collected over 8 cars full of gifts for Family and Children's Service of Monmouth County during their annual giving tree toy drive.

Every year, for over a dozen years, the has hosted a giving tree to benefit Family & Children's Service of Monmouth County.

Students are encouraged to choose a tag and has the option to fulfill some or all of the child's wishes.

This year, the RCDS Student Council and Community Service Leadership Board picked up the remaining 18 tags were not chosen by students and spent $600 gifts for those children.

Last week, RCDS students and family volunteers filled 8 cars of donations and brought them to the organization in Long Branch for distribution to area children this holiday season.

The giving tree is part of RCDS's annual Community Service initiative. Because of their continued support, the school was by Family & Children's Service at their annual gala for their long standing partnership in serving the community.
