R-FH Students Bag Bucks for Hunger

Table to Table initiative brought in substantial funds for those in need

"Bag a lunch, help a bunch" was the message imparted by Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School students as they recently undertook an initiative of Table to Table, a New Jersey-based food rescue organization dedicated to feeding the hungry.

Heeding this call on Oct. 17, students in the French, Spanish, and Chinese national honor societies at the high school organized a school-wide effort and gave out paper bags to students in which they were asked to place the amount of money they would usually spend on their daily lunch. The paper bags were then collected by designated team captains.

"We raised $821." said R-FH advisor Christine Berg. "I'm very proud of our students!"
