Forrestdale students collected 4,192 pounds of food and $966 of donations for the holiday food drive. That put them at the top of collections in their division.

The goal of this School Holiday Hunger Challenge is to increase an unusually low food supply at the FoodBank as well as to provide complete family meals to those in need this holiday season. Each grade was assigned a specific food item, which was collected and delivered to the FoodBank where it was logged in and weighed. Items ranged from canned fruits and vegetables to boxed instant mashed potatoes.
