Deane-Porter Principal Resigns

Letters, emails circulated

Deane-Porter Principal Richard Karas has resigned after a decade with the Rumson School District, effective July 1.

Once school let out today in Rumson and parents sorted through their children's backpacks, news spread and emails were sent to Patch saying that letters went home today notifying all of Karas' impending departure.

One parent, who did not want to be identified, said that the "texts are flying" over the news. Another reported that, according to the letter sent home, Karas will be taking a position in Jackson.
