Bulldogs Swim Towards Two Conference Titles

Both the girls' and boys' team won their conference after beating Holmdel High School.

water dawgs lapped the Holmdel Hornets and brought home two conference titles this season.

On January 10th, both RFH swim teams (boys and girls) beat Holmdel High School to win Class A Central. 

Going into the meet both RFH’s and Holmdel’s teams were undefeated in the division.

The girls' meet came down to the last event where junior Helena Kafaf, sophomore Deirdre McCarthy, sophomore Caitlin Fox, and senior Hannah Doyle came in first in the 400 yard freestyle relay to win the meet for the girls. All of the girls had a great meet. 

“Everyone swam their hearts out!” said Girls coach Meghan Jones about their win.

Girl’s team standouts include freshman Megan Burke; sophomores Lilly Kemm, Caitlin Fox, Deirdre McCarthy; and seniors Sarah Osmulski and Hannah Doyle. 

Boy’s team coach Tom Toohey said that the team won with a score of 101-96, with Kyle McManus, Andrew Henderson, Brendan Thorpe, all posting personal bests in their respective events.

Overall, the girl’s team remains undefeated and the boys are 6-2 for the season.
