Brown School And Polson Middle School Teaming Up To Help Those Hurt By Sandy

Here's something we all can do tomorrow while school is off for election day.

Robert H. Brown Middle School and Polson Middle School are teaming up to help those hurt by Superstorm/Hurricane Sandy.

The death toll from the storm is 110 in the United States and more than 69 in the Caribbean. Among the hardest hit areas are two nearby states, New York and New Jersey.

Here is what you need to know to participate, along with some other notes from Brown Middle School:

Dear Parents,

In an effort to support those in need here in Madison and around surrounding states due to the devastation created by Hurricane Sandy,  Robert H. Brown Middle School and Polson Middle School are teaming up to collect needed goods such as:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • diapers
  • formula and baby food
  • baby wipes
  • batteries
  • blankets
  • hats
  • gloves
  • socks
  • sweatshirts
  • towels
  • toiletries and other items

Our goal is to fill two vans and deliver these items to areas of need this weekend.  Additionally, we will be collecting money to support victims of Hurricane Sandy. Money can be delivered to either the Brown Main Office, at or Polson Main Office, at All collected money will be donated to the Madison Food Pantry.

Our fundraising efforts will take place all week at both schools.

Thank you for your support as we look to help others in need.
