Rumson Fire Department, EMS Announce 2012 Officers

Capt. Max Ross will lead EMS squad; Chief Paul Halligan and Assistant Chief James Fenn will head up Rumson Fire Department.

Members of the Rumson Fire Department and the Rumson First Aid Squad came out in force on New Year’s Day to recognize their own.

The emergency squads announced their captains and line officers for 2012 during the Rumson Borough Council reorganization meeting at .

Max Ross will serve as captain this year. He was administered the oath of office by Mayor John Ekdahl. Ross announced the following line officers for 2012: Jenn Brennan will serve as first lieutenant; Randy Cogger will serve as second lieutenant; and Frank Davis will serve as sergeant. The corporate officers for this year are: Rob W. Eyerkuss III, president; Diane Dupuy, vice president; John Wibbelsman, treasurer; and Stacey Giglio, secretary.

Paul Halligan will head the Rumson Fire Department as fire chief for 2012 as well as deputy Office of Emergency Management Coordinator. James Fenn will serve as assistant fire chief. Fenn’s son, Seamus, held a family Bible while he was sworn into office.

Before announcing the year’s line officers, Halligan recognized the man who would have been chief in 2012

“This is the year that a good friend of ours, Brian David Boyer, would have been chief. He passed away as lieutenant in 2006. His brother and myself decided this is how we’d finish out his legacy,” Halligan said.

The line officers for 2012 are: Capt. Joseph Ward, first Lt. Ronald Immesberger, second Lt. Nicholas Luiten, and second Lt. Justin Bradley. Fenn announced the following line officers for : Capt. James Anderson, Lt. Frederick Shea, and Lt. Kevin McCarthy.
