Reorganizing in Fair Haven on New Year

Mayor and two re-elected councilmen to be sworn in to new terms.

Fair Haven officials are ringing in New Year 2013 with little change.

At the borough's noon New Year's Day reorganization ceremony at Borough Hall, Mayor Ben Lucarelli will be sworn in to finish former Mayor Michael Halfacre's unexpired term, which ends in 2014. The full mayoral term in Fair Haven is four years. Lucarelli ran unopposed in November's election to fill the term.

Councilman Eric Jaeger, who, in turn, was appointed to fill Lucarelli's unexpired council term, won his first full three-year term on council. And Councilman Robert Marchese will also be sworn in to his second full term on the governing body.

Derek DeBree and Daniel J. Kane will be sworn in as the new fire chief and deputy. Trudy Wojciehowski will be sworn in as captain of the First Aid Squad and Douglas Anderson will be captain of the Fire Police.

Borough professional appointments will be made with no noted changes. And memberships to a host of committees will be announced, with official appointments and term lengths specified.
