Public Input Wanted at Hearing of Governor's SAFE Task Force

Session planned for 3 to 5 p.m. at Brookdale Community College

A public hearing will be held at Brookdale Community College today to solicit input for the Governor's NJ SAFE Task Force, which studies gun control, addiction, mental health and school safety.

The hearing, which is open to the public, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Warner Student Life Center, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. Parking is free in lot 7.

Members of the public will be afforded the chance to offer a brief, three-minute statement on the issues of gun control, addiction, mental health and school safety, to better help the Task Force address and prevent acts of violence.

Those who cannot attend can provide written submissions by emailing NJ-SAFETaskForce@njdcj.org.

first off...NJ does not allow fully automatic anything! Unless of course if you have an unrestricted CCW like Feinstein or other politicians. Semi Automatic anything can only shoot as fast as you pull the trigger and for the same reason someone woudl buy a $1,000,000 bugatti to go 240mph and the same reason ppl drink/do drugs and drive.

Rosemary - I am with you. You are not alone. I am chilled to the bone by the nasty attack on you and by the response that called for people with autism to be "locked up". Scary stuff.

Not quite as scary as a mentally deficient person with a gun, knife, bat or car to kill and maim innocent people. We need to lock up these crazies. Call them autistic, nuts, sociopaths just lock them up.

Any revolver shoots 6 rounds (multiple) just as quickly as a semi-auto handgun or an assault weapon. I guess you are advocating that we all use single shot muzzleloaders huh JAckson.
