PA Women Charged with Rumson Theft

Two women from Pennsylvania allegedly bilked a victim of more than $500 on two separate occasions

have arrested and charged two Pennsylvania women with theft by deception and knowingly creating a false impression based on alleged incidents in July.

According to a complaint warrant signed by police and filed with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, on or about July 7 and 17, Tracea S. Wright, 26, and Donna M. Mouzon, 51, both of Philadelphia, Pa., allegedly conspired to meet with a Rumson victim “with the intent to obtain funds in excess of $500.”

Both were arrested on July 17, following the second alleged incident, according to police records.

The two allegedly solicited the funds by deceiving the victim, purposely creating a false impression to obtain the money, the complaint said. No further information was released by police concerning the nature of theft and/or deception.

Each was charged with theft by deception and purposely or knowingly creating a false impression, it added. Both are third degree crimes.

Mouzon was held on $75,000 bail, with no 10 percent option.

Wright was held on $25,000 bail, with no 10 percent option.

Conditions of release for both were that they not return to the crime scene or have any personal contact with the victim, by phone, mail or any other means.

Both are slated to appear in Rumson Municipal Court on July 25 at 6 p.m.
