Why do you keep posting this stating UPDATE - put some Real news on here please
Jacklyn Corley (Editor) February 03, 2014 at 09:04 AM
Hi Diane, The story has only been posted once but appeared in both the Sunday and Monday newsletters because we believed a fatal crash was the most significant news from the weekend. It was updated to include the identification of the victim when her name was released. If there are particular issues or concerns in Middletown that you would like to see addressed or covered, please comment below or use our boards at the right to post your thoughts or share news.

Excuse you @Diane Grady, but I am sickening to see how much of an abomination you are as a person. Quite clearly you have some personal issues to deal with. You're obviously some cat lady who has nothing better to do than to feed your sick fiendish obsession with gossip. Next time you decide you want to hear the latest scoop, do yourself, and more importantly, everyone in the world, the favor of picking up the latest People's magazine and enjoy it on your pathetic couch with a huge Hershey bar. Next time you think about desecrating someone who has passed you should shuffle back 10 steps and think about how your terrible comment may affect her family and friends. I understand you are so upset that this story has yet to be updated because it is under police investigation, but my next advice is that you get down on your dirty knees and pray to God that this terrible tragedy is never inflicted on you or your family, and if it is I hope that no awful person makes a deliberately hurtful comment like you just did. Think before you act. I'm sure somewhere in your distant memory you've heard that before.

This was not a comment on the terrible thing that happen to this women and her family IT WAS a comment to the editor of this story , I cant believe the hate from people that no nothing about me but I understand the need to show the true uglyness in ones heart PS no cats ,no hershey bars ,no dirty knees here, and most certainly I WAS NOT desecrating anyone . Just asking for news PS just incase you didnt know this site Just laid off most of it staff and has left a very small gruop of Editors if anything I was also trying to leave a message to the NEW owners that maybe they could have left this site alone Notice I didnt lower myself to spread HATE here Excuse you@Leaxa Divas and I will excuse your hateful comments

This article is appearing in the Patch today (Monday, February 10) with the word "updated" in the title, yet the content of the article hasn't been updated. The same was true when the article appeared on Monday, February 3 with the word "updated" in the title although the content and status had not changed from Sunday, February 2. I agree with Diane Grady that the word "updated" should be included in the title of re-posts of articles only when the content of the article has actually been updated since the previous posting. The attacks on Diane Grady were entirely unwarranted as she was commenting solely on the fact that an article labelled "updated" had no new information in it, not on whether the topic of the article was newsworthy.

I'm glad you said something, KS. I couldn't understand the inappropriately negative attacks on Diane Grady. She was obviously referring to the article not being updated and a bunch of harpies totally misconstrued her words and jumped down her throat. Sometimes I wonder about the caliber of my neighbors when I read their nasty remarks on this and other "anonymous" message boards. For God's sake people, lighten the f up!
tom.sheridan March 04, 2014 at 09:48 PM
Tough to lighten up when the main theme of the article was the tragic death of a young woman. While I'm sure Diane meant no harm; her complaint regarding the term "update" was misplaced. It came across as petty. The worst part of Diane's day was that there was no "update" when it suggested there was an "update". The worst part of this young woman's family's day was that their loved one is now gone. Kinda puts the two in perspective don't you think.
