Two Unlocked Cars Stolen from Fair Haven Home

The high-end makes were taken right from the driveway sometime between 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on September 27.

A resident reported two of their cars stolen from their driveway on Fair Haven Rd. during dinnertime on Tuesday evening, police say.

According to an official statement released by the (FHPD), the vehicles were unlocked and had the keys left inside them at the time of the theft.

Detective Jesse Dykstra of the FHPD said the police department is investigating. He said that the department is turning to some neighboring towns who have seen crimes such as this one happen within the past few months. “We plan on collaborating with other agencies who have had similar actions,” said Detective Dykstra.

The cars were high-end makes and were taken between 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on September 27. Police can not reveal the types of cars at this time due to the investigation.

The Fair Haven Police Department is stressing to residents the importance of locking and securing vehicles. This reminder comes after a hit the Two River Area last spring.
