Two River Area Struck with Vandalism

Windows of cars, homes and businesses smashed in by rocks sometime Tuesday night.

A rash of vandalism struck the Two River area last night according to the police departments in Fair Haven, Rumson and Red Bank.

According to a release from the (FHPD), “Four reports were received from Borough residents that windows on their vehicles were broken sometime overnight.” The reports of damage were from two residents on Cambridge Avenue, one from Harvard Road and one from Fair Haven Road. None of the residents reported anything stolen from their vehicles.

“Details are limited at this time as the investigation is active and involves other, local jurisdictions with similar reports,” said the release from FHPD.

Both Rumson and Red Bank Police Departments have confirmed incidents in their towns as well.

An alert from the was sent to residents on Wednesday afternoon that said “landscaping river stone was thrown through the windows of a home and a business, and was also utilized to damage three vehicles in town” over the night of Jan. 17 to the morning of the 18.

Rumson police are asking residents that heard or observed any suspicious persons or vehicles during the overnight period to call the police department at (732)842-0500.
