Two FH Men Indicted for Allegedly Possessing Heroin

One of the men was also indicted for possession of cocaine.

A Monmouth County Grand Jury voted Jan. 25 to indict two men for possession of heroine.

William Spears, 18, of Fair Haven and Stephan Strauss, 30, of Fair Haven along with James Sinclair, 36, of Asbury Park were all arrested in Neptune on Sept. 29, 2011. The three men were indicted on one count of possession of heroin, a controlled dangerous substance.

Strauss was also indicted on a second count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance for having cocaine.

Both counts of possession are considered a third-degree crime. Third-degree crimes carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $15,000 fine.

The Grand Jury's vote does not determine guilt or innocence, only that charges may be brought against the people named in the indictment.
