A Red Bank man is one of three in the area who was indicted on charges that he sold cocaine to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office on three separate occasions — twice in Keansburg and once in Middletown.
Aaron Butts, 27, of River Street, Red Bank, allegedly dealt cocaine to an undercover detective on April 4, 2012, in Middletown, on April 5, in Keansburg, and again, a week later, in Middletown.
A Middletown man also faces charges he sold cocaine to undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in Middletown, Wall and Keyport in November of 2011.
Robert Jeffcoat, 32, of Middletown Avenue, has been indicted on a total of 11 counts of illegal drug possession, intent to distribute, and distribution in the three towns.
Jeffcoat is accused of dealing cocaine the same officer in Middletown on Nov. 7, 2011, and two weeks later in Wall Township. He also allegedly sold cocaine within 500 feet of a public park in Keyport later that month, on Nov. 30.
Kevin Allen, 30, of Powell Avenue, Atlantic Highlands, was also named in the indictment. He was charged with illegal cocaine possession on Jan. 30, 2013 in Atlantic Highlands.
An indictment constitutes a formal charge, not a conviction.
