Several Area Fire Companies Fled to Scene of Sea Bright Fire

For the second time within 12 hours, fire has broken out in Sea Bright.

Sea Bright Fire Company and several fire companies from neighboring towns were seen rushing to the scene at 1202 Ocean Avenue, the Carriage House Marina lot, from noon until 12:30 p.m. where authorities reported rescue activity on the balcony of a home there.

People were prohibited from getting too close to the scene.

However, later in the day, firefighters reported that there was an "aggressive interior attack on the heavy fire conditions present" as Sea Bright stations 43 and 33 (43 first) arrived at the one-and-a-half story ranch on the marina property, according to the Sea Bright Fire Rescue Facebook page. "Squad 43 established a supply line for the truck then proceeded to open the roof and preform searches ..."

Rumson, Fair Haven, Monmouth Beach and other area fire companies responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was reported contained by roughly 12:30 p.m., but some firefighters remained on the scene and some left.

In the early morning hours, a fire reportedly broke out in an abandoned warehouse on River Street. That fire was reported to be contained quickly.
