Sea Bright Cop Honored for DWI Enforcement

Sea Bright Police Officer Chris Fisler was among 512 local police and 69 state troopers recognized recently by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for their drunk driving enforcement efforts, nj.com reported.

The officers, 48 of whom serve Monmouth County municipalities, were honored last week at an awards ceremony at Middlesex County College for making the most DWI (driving while intoxicated) arrests in their respective towns.

During the ceremony, they heard from families of drunk driving victims.

MADD was founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, and is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking.

This is the third year the organization has recognized officers at a statewide ceremony.
