In the middle of the snow and rain on Saturday night, Rumson and Sea Bright fire departments extinguished a fire in Rumson.
What was called in as a roof fire on Ward Lane was contained by midnight, according to dispatch reports.
Sea Bright Fire Rescue, on its Facebook page reported that when they arrived to offer a second truck, due to "heavy fire conditions from the roof," they "assisted the Rumson crew with a quick knock down of the fire and performed extensive overhaul."
