R-FH Parent Arrested as Result of RBR Baseball Game Melee

Players in brawl may be suspended.

As the result of a Saturday baseball game melee, a Rumson parent has been arrested and charged with simple assault, according to APP.com.

The parent, Patrick Maisto, 49, of Rumson, allegedly went onto the field and assaulted a Buc player after a sixth-inning collision during a tie game started a brawl, the report said.

A Red Bank Regional player running from third base collided with the Rumson-Fair Haven catcher, clearing both benches, ending in the melee and possibly getting all brawling players suspended from upcoming games, it added.
