Police Investigate $1,400 Store Theft, Fraud

Theft occurred on Jan. 4


Shrewsbury police are investigating the theft of an estimated $1,400 worth of merchandise from Radio Shack.

On Jan. 8 staff at the Broad Street store reported that the goods valued at $1,399 were stolen. Detective James Ramsey is investigating.

Police also reported that they are investigating an incident of credit card fraud that was reported by a Corn lane victim on Jan. 14.

The victim, the report said, alleged that accounts had been opened and items purchased without their consent. Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.
